A few weeks ago I started to use vservers as build-"chroot". Setting up a new guest is very painless:
newvserver --hostname foo --domain bar --ip 192.168.10.2 --dist etch --mirror http://your.favourite.mirror.tdl --interface eth0 --context 123 vserver foo start vserver foo enter I usually bind-mount my dev-directory into the guests, so I can just build on i386/amd64 and the distribution I like, using the same source directory, without any need to copy things around.
