And the captn obvious award goes to... Kai Sorry but yes, that was the essence of this blog post and implementation details are not too interesting

Technically it's of course no problem to implement that, it's just interesting to see that they are doing this.

I guess they start doing data-mining/machine-learning stuff. Let's imagine a bot that crawls all sorts of blogs and their comments. It can then, through some measurements, calculate the similarity of your specific blog-post to some crawled/known blog post. It then just takes one of the known comments and replicates it to your blog, maybe with some slight modifications. It's pretty much well known algorithms. Evil.

tmux is a great alternative to gnu screen which allows vertical and horizontal splits. Best of all it keeps the splits on detach and you can start a tmux session with rc.local

at the time I wrote this juikospot (beta) wasn't released yet.

but i also phrased this badly, cause what juikospot does is adhoc mode and that already worked before via the shell, what would be nice though and still also doesnt work without a custom patched kernel is infrastructure mode

This is not true, there's an application called 'joiku hotspot' that works, it's still beta, but i have managed to used some times.

Rotated screen to portrait: I also had that with the orrery app. The trick is, press the power button then it rotates back.
Don't install from extras-devel, it's not worth the hassle... Wait for extra-testing.

"It is not clear to me which tools you will find in the list of installable packages"

Any dpkg package whose Section: starts with user/ is treated as user-installable by the GUI; any dpkg package whose Section: doesn't start with user/ can only be installed as a dependency, or by going outside the Nokia GUI (apt-get, etc.).

    Some comments :

+ disk encryption is not available afaik. I'm thinking of using lvm and luks to encrypt the emmc contents. encrypting the onenand contents is more difficult as we use ubi and ubifs and it is thus not exposed as a normal blockdevice. If the hw aes accelerator can be used, performance and power impact should not be too high I think.

+ the maemo base system is sufficiently different from normal debian to make normal debian packages incompatible.

(disclaimer: I'm an Nokia employee working on N900)

You can go to the bank on the fact that the end is very nigh for 911 liars, stalkers, slanderers.

As for those who say that it's not appropriate to release personal messages that were texted on 911.... People deserve the truth... What is not right [much less appropriate] is the continual lies and slander that has gone on for years.

Karma can be a b!tch. Justice is coming and those who deserve their "just desserts" will be finally getting them.

"As with any other network-facing component, it is possible that bugs in ssh-ssl-proxy can be exploited to perform denial of service attacks, remote exploits or worse. ssh-ssl-proxy is deliberately being kept small to minimize this risk."
