First of all sorry for the long downtime with blogging, I am busy with university stuff at the moment but will blog on in the next days.
Actually it was not my intention to blog about this but now I have to do this.
There were some newbie courses for non-nerds at university, for those who never used a UNIX-like system. This was made by computer science students.
The guy talked alot of shell commands etc. and about chmod too. So he explained for what it is used and how it works. Also the meanings of the o,a,u and g operands were discussed.
So he explained that
o is owner and
u user. Some guy asked what's the difference and he had no clue.
So I thought ok guys, please change your file permissions to the so-called "owner"-permission
But the bad thing is that this student is my computer science 1 tutor. So I think it will be a funny time with him...
