Note: mark all new mails as read in mutt/ng

Maybe this is also useful for you since mutt/ng does not ship a function to mark all new mails in a folder as read.

Use the following macro:

macro index .n "<tag-pattern>~N<enter><tag-prefix><clear-flag>N<clear-flag>*" "Catchup all new messages"

I've made it like this here:

macro index y "~NN~T"

This one also untags new messages again. Sure, you can do it with ;T but why bother

replace [ with < and ] with >

Cause the macro just works, is fast and easy to understand
