Hi there!
I've loved ur article, because there is no other paper that tells u how to use ii exactly. As I am used to, i expected ii was just a simple program that worked all by itself... So I downloaded it, compiled it and was sad that nothing happend when I typed ii in console! I'd like to help u program the bots reactions to the users input if u like, because I always love interfaces where to chat with someone that doesnt exists Just send me mail if u like and, if u speak german, have a look at my homepage Bastian
I liked your article, escpecially because it introduced me to programs and features of programs i didn't know before. I already wrote a few bots for ii and really like the simplicity of the program. In near futture I'll probably write some interfaces for it,as we have a school project that involves irc.

This has to be the coolest irc client ever. I think the way ii, wmii (and P9) handles everything via FIFO buffers is fantastic. I'm dumping irssi for this fantastic client.
Your article is fantastic, and your screenshot is very, very sexy.
tmux is a great alternative to gnu screen which allows vertical and horizontal splits. Best of all it keeps the splits on detach and you can start a tmux session with rc.local
tmux now supports split, break and rejoin windows, so you can drop splitvt and screen and use it!
what do you think about using just vim with tail features like ":setlocal autoread" or some vim tail plugins ?
should do everything one needs for ii Add Comment
